It's 2015 - a good 8 years on from the smartphone revolution that first took place as Steve Jobs took to the stage to introduce the very first iPhone. Of course, back in those days, it was all about a smarter way of making calls and even leaving voice mails to each other. As the years went on however, one of the by-products of having a supercomputer at the ready in your pocket has been an explosion in smartphone photography.
Taking a photo in the moment has become so ubiquitous and natural, that hardly a day goes by without a photo being taken by your phone of choice. It has been suggested that by 2012, 1.4bn photos were being taken every day by mobile phones globally. This has led to other problems, most notably the desperate need to be constantly backing up the files from your phone before running out of disk space.
It is highly likely that you, the reader, do not currently have a backup strategy - and you are wearily going through your camera roll history and deleting photos on the fly as you attempt to make some space for that next potential amazing Instagram. It's 2015 and this is not right.
